Cameron Buck??? Dayuuum

This was sent to me by a friend and was supposedly killed at Cameron Plantation Sat. night. The taxidermist scores him at 184 boone & crockett. 24 inches wide with 26 inch main beams. I don't know who this guy is, but that's a hell of a deer!

i figured some good bucks would start showing up dead pretty soon, this past weekend we have several pics of big deer that we have never seen before. Also, the morning that i shot mine i saw a total of 9 bucks in a 2hr time span. This was the most buck activity i have seen this year and everyone but 4 of the bucks i grunted up. I guess they are really starting to hunt for the does now. This cold/hot weather im sure has them all screwed up

They don't grow to be that big where you hunt. Your deer get killed too soon at 1 & 1/2 to 2 & 1/2 years of age. Remember how you piss in your pants wanting to shoot when you see a scrubby?

The more i look at this monster the bigger he gets!. Look at the semetry, you couldnt grow a more beautiful and proportioned rack in a pen. I am very curious to know how old he is, does anybody have any idea? I hope he was able to breed some does before he was killed

I heard that when they bought that place, it was a failed farming operation. They bought it, and turned it into arguably the best deer hunting in the state, AND turned the farm around, so that they are now making money while they hunt. If true, that's one hell of a deal.

Not sure if that is true but Cotten knows the story better than I do. The Parkers and the Hannons owned what was once known as -------- dayum can't remember. It was renamed Cameron Plantation. Mark Jordan and parnters (very wealthy partners) bought out the Parkers and I believe got 2000 acres and now have a very "private" club. The Hannons still own theirs. Word is if you shoot a buck smaller than 150 class, you get shown the door.

Unreal place!! Drive it one day and look at all the deer. It's off of Hwy 22 on Virillia Rd. (Canton Exit west). Bring a camera, and leave the gun at home as the sherriffs dept. rides those roads

The area was ranked one of the top ten trophy whitetail deer hunting area’s anywhere. And the money that was made off of that place is amazing.

The name Cameron Plantation goes back to the 1800's. T Bar P Ranch is the name you were looking for. There were 9 or 10 thousand acres that Hannon and Parker split up. Then Parker sold 4,000 to 4,500 or so acres to Jordan's group; allegedly for $18 million. Parker took 1,500 or so acres that Jordon had on the Yazoo side of the river on trade.

The 150 minimum is on the property just west of Cameron. They just started loosening up on that though when it comes to mature deer with less than 10 points.

The rumor has circulated that deer were brought in from somewhere up north many years ago and that’s where the genetics comes from.
