Keep it clean or else it will hang up. 3.5" shells tend to hang up not matter how clean it is.

I have one and you do have to keep it clean like any other gun, but 95% of the shot's fired through mine have been 3.5 steel and I have never had a hangup with them. I tried to shoot some light loads dove hunting one time and it wouldn't eject them

That's a shame, you should have gone with the Extrema2.

I have put about 2 cases of ammo through mine with no hangups. I guess I need to clean it before duck season.

I have been shooting a Browning Gold 3.5 for 5 years with at least a case of steel through it every year. I could count on one hand the number of times it has hung up on me. I have never kept it particularly clean either. I give it one good cleaning after each duck season.

This past year I let one of the guys in our lease talk me into not cleaning it because he thought it would jinx our good luck. It looked terrible, covered with mud and it still was slingin them shells.

I cant speak for other folks, but it has been nothing, if not reliable for me.

I have a star dots on mine. I bought them for turkey hunting...but leave them on there year around.

Good luck with the new gun.

Gulfcoast has 2 BGH's that have close to 30K rounds through each without any ejection problems.

CB, I'll send you some links for the sights I use. I prefer the kind that grip the rib on the sides, or the sights that screw into the rib on the front side.

Mine never hangs - keep it clean and do so by breaking it down after every hunt.

Can't comment on the bead...lost my bead about three years ago and haven't missed it yet.

I found that mine will eject low brass 2 3/4 shells if they are 1 1/8 ounce but nothing smaller. All in all its a great gun and if I was going to buy a gun tomorrow there is no doubt that it would be another gold

Shot thousands of rounds through my Browning Gold 20 in Argentina and it never missed a beat.
