Wader ???

I'm in the market for a new pair since tearing a hole in mine on the last hunt of the year. I've been looking at the Grand Prairie waders by Macks. Anyone have a pair of these and have any comments?

LaCross Brush Tuff is the way to go, Ive torn some like you but these are some bad boys, I love mine, got em at Mack's on sale 2 years ago.

ive had good luck with the lacross waders but for sone reason every pair ive owned usually springs a leak in the crotch after bout a year of wear. i switched bout 2 years ago to a hodgeman wader and i havent had any problems with them. i usually go through a pair of waders almost every year. the hodgmans are tuff

I have some Lacrosse 5mm waders that I burn up in under most conditions. Last year I purchased some Mack's Big Ditch 3.5mm waders and have loved them. They are just right for this climate and only cost about $150.

I got a pair last year and love them because of the weight in our climate I have yet to find a pair of waders that i can't tear up in 2 years or less so the price is good as well.

I have not had good luck with LaCrosse waders. I use the waist high from Cabelas that was made by Herters. These are very tough and have lasted. Def. priced right and well worth the money.

I will never buy another pair of LaCrosse waders. Knee boots they make are great, but after 2 pairs of brand new Brush Tuffs that leaked in the crotch, I won't buy another LaCrosse wader.

The Hodgeman Lakestream waders have held up good for me. I wouldn't get any without the cordura coating. The naked neoprene snags on every briar and stick you rub against and starts leaking on the spot.

I went through three pairs of Hodgman Duramags in 4 seasons. Although the Duramags are great waders as long as they are watertight, each pair I had sprang leaks in the crotch and/or along the leg seams. For $270, I would hope to get more out of them.

I decided to try a set of Mack's Grand Prairie waders - so far, so good. We will just have to see if they last.

I have had the same pair of Lacrosse Brush Tuffs for about 7 or 8 years. I love'm.

I haven't had any problems with Lacrosse either. My old thrashers held up well, then my brush toughs are hanging tough. Brush tuffs are on thier 3rd season. Probably gonna buy a new pair for this year just in case.

I had a pair of Lacrosse brush tuffs for 4 years and out grew them. So then I decided to get the hodgman duramags. Wore them about a year and a half and they sprung a big leak. This year I bought a pair of Cabelas SuperMag 1600's. They are alot cheaper than the Hodgman Duramags and not to mention if they leak due to normal wear Cabelas will replace them up to a couple of years.

let me say this about waders..

when you hunt as often as i do.. you can just bout bank on buying a new pair of waders every 3 years. if not sooner.. it don't matter if its the expensive ones or the cheap ones...

just be prepared..

Anyone else got opinions on the Macks waders? I was leaning toward them only because they're available in the Natgear camo...I think the lighter color would blend in a bit better. Everyone I hunt with has BreakUp or Shadowgrass waders and they stuck out like a sore thumb in the fields last year...
