New Duck Hole

Postby blindleadingtheblind » Tue Oct 03, 2006 7:23 am

This is our first year on this lease. We have 12-15 duck holes on it, but I found a new one yesterday. It is clean and it will be wet. It is in a WRP field adjacent to a large slough that will flood. I talked to the guys that hunted this property for the last five years and they said that it had ducks on it every year and could have been a great hole, maybe even one of the better holes, if they ever had any food in it. Is it too late for me to put something in it?

I bet those guys are proud that you took there lease. Congrats on having so many places to hunt. I think it would be a good idea for you to invite me and two friends to see if its as nice as it sounds,

Does it have grass, like johnson grass in the WRP area? You may already have enough food unless you are saying it is bare gound!
