Prayer request

Postby landscaper » Sun Sep 29, 2002 8:13 pm

Guys, if you recall, I told you all last year about a buddy of mine who was born with a spinal defect and is now having complications. He narrowly avoided a life threatening surgery last summer and had a great deal of recovery (thanks to prayers including yours). Now he has regressed and the surgery is deffinately going to occur. He isn't sure exactly when he will have is yet, but it will be within the next month.

He is handling it well so far but I know he would appreciate your prayers for strength, courage, and healing. Due to the rarety of his condition, his doctors hands will need God's guidance, too.

Thank you in advance, guys!

Doctor's hands need His guidance in all conditions, brother. I'll pray for your friend.

Chris will be in Jacksonville, Fl Wed, Thr, and Fr of this week for tests and to schedule surgery. He's hopeful that the tests and a new set of doctors will reveal some positives, but continues to ask for prayer support. I told him what an incredible group of guys were praying for him here, and I know he appreciates it deeply!

Thanks and keep up the good work.

Got an update from Chris tonight. While he was in Jacksonville he had lots of test done and met with alot of new doctors. He still hasn't heard all the results but the docs think there is an optoin besides the spinal surgery. They think some minor brain surgery could help his condition. This too is highly risky. The main decision now seems to be whether to risk further paralysis or to risk brain damage.

I think Chris is a nervous wreck about now, and is in need of some peace. He continues to express thanks for the prayers, as do I!

You guys are great. Keep it up.
