Trey,
If/ when you hear back from willow give me a shout and let me know what he has to say! thanks!
reality check on whats been a good week...
Travis , I hate to hear it . The vet I'm using now is one I trust very much , when spook came up positive I told the vet I was finished with HG . I ask him what he would recommend , he said HG . I think we could all beat this horse to pieces , but the truth is nothing is 100% IMO .
Just do what the doc tells ya too and the pups will come thru fine , but it still sucks when it's time to train and them big brown eyes look at you and wonder what they've done to have to stay locked up all the time
I talked to another vet a while back , she said that the FDA is supposed to be reinstating the bi-annual shot that worked so good for years . I'll keep my fingers crossed .

I've used Ivamec for years. I administer it every month, .10 cc per 11 pounds of body weight. I've never had a problem, hold on while I knock on some wood. I wish you luck with you dog. I've heard about more dogs getting heartworms in the past year than ever before. I think I agree with Hamm.
HRCH Cash's Solid Rock
Agree with LA2TN; my vet said use 0.1 cc/ 40lb body weight for monthly maintenance and 0.1cc/10lb twice a year for parasite control. I can't keep up with all that so typically dose 0.1cc/20lb. Knock on wood but in 5 years and 3 dogs, never had a positive test.
I will add that I live in the hills and don't have to contend with delta skeeters.
