Ryan Lambert is the owner. Ryan has his lodge back up and running. We've booked fishing trips through them before with success. We also have some hunts booked for the upcoming season. Ask if Luke is still guiding for them. He's the one you want to go fishing with.

Jeff uses Bryan for his camps during the fishing and hunting season. He's a good guy and will put you on fish.

Hey Wingshot, You are heading in the right direction but at the wrong time. The weather is unstable in Feb. and the fishing can be on or very off. I do know a couple good guides and could give you some #s for lodging but I would go before duck season or after turkey season. Fishing will likely be good till 1st of the year and then start to pick up good about mid April. This has been a lesson I had to learn myself. Take it for what its worth.
You can PM me for more info if intrested.

GH 22 you are getting close. Luke Landry is not with Ryan anymore. He and his brother LLoyd went in business for themselves after the storm. I could get his # if anyone needs it. He needs the business. Also Bryan D. has lodging and he and son Patrick are very good guides. If you decide on Cajun Ad. let me know and I can give you the name of one of the other guides I highly recommend.

Hmmm, that's interesting, seeing as though Luke and Lloyd were on the outs when I was down there last. Luke didn't even want to talk about him.

Lloyd had guided us on a duck hunt one day through Taylor's Charter Service. Pete was our main guide, but got hooked up with P.J. on the ms river for all the duck hunts.

I will tell you of two guides that I strongly do not recommend, Shane Matthews and Danny, can't remember his last name. He was guiding with Cajun the last time I was there. They had put me on his boat the last day, and I told them I would rather sit at the lodge, because Pete had stuck dad and I with him before a couple of yrs prior to that. I would find some redfish, he would literally try to push me out of the way to get the best position to throw in the spot.

I can give you a slew of guides. Bryan Dickinson is a redfish specialist in February. He has some spots (of which I am sworn to the utmost secrecy) that are absolutley loaded with redfish in the winter. Greenhead fan is correct that Feb. can be a bad month to fish in the area, but at the same time if the weather is right, it can be an absolutley wonderful time to go down. It just all depends. If I were to go down and fish in February and was planning a trip, it would without a doubt it would be a trip to the lump for tuna.
Some other inshore guides I would reccomend would be Raymond Schmitt of rising sun charters, http://www.fishrisingsun.com
John Atwood
Brent Roy
Owen Lambridge
I can go on for a while on names. Just pm me for more details if you wish.

Jeff, I didn't know Raymond was back up. Great guy. I have tried to call him but his cell # hasn't worked since 1st of the year. The guy at cajun I would recommend is surely not Danny. I never fish w/ a guide but fish around them.

I'll try to find out if "Heavy" still guides for Ryan. If Luke isn't there anymore, that's who I would go with.

GH, Heavy has been working for Peace since the storm doing bluewater trips. He just took a position as captain of some millionaires boat in Coast Rica. He called me Oct. 26 or 27 while I was in Buras fishing and told me he had the job and he was getting his boat from Cypress cove that day and taking it home to store. He has hunted w/ me in Stuttgart for several years. Great fisherman and hunter.

I've used both Bobby Warren and Brent Roy with good success.

I'd just fish with Jeff. Bring him a pre-cooked brisket from Bi-Lo out in New Iberia, LA and he'll probably pay you to fish with him instead of you pay him.

On a side note, don't invite GH22. He'll just catch nothing but hardheads.

John Atwood for sure! Really good guide who knows his stuff. He's the type guy that the other "guides" follow to the fish. Funny sonofagun, too.

John is a great guide and an even better person to have on speed dial when you need a fishing report!
