Weren't any troops in the Evergreen community there in Winston County when I was growing up. I built plenty of lean-to's, though!

Y'all know you were in it just for the Brownies!

Congratulations on one of life's biggest accomplishments! I am an Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 3 in Petal. My oldest got his last year and I have a Life and a Star who are well on their way. It does get tough between school, sports and hunting and fishing. You will never regret it!
My Eagle and Life sons went to Philmont this past summer and all four of us are going next summer. I gotta get in shape!

Glad to see so many on the board interested in Scouting. I encourage all of you who have sons to get involved. I didn't joing until I was 14 so it's never too late. Your sons will become self assured and mature young men with a great set of values. You really ought to consider it. It is not that time consuming and you'll find that it's one of those things you wish you could spend more time on not less.
