Duck & Deer Fest

Postby DuckyDan » Fri Oct 18, 2002 9:02 am

Anyone going to Mossy Oak in West Point next weekend to Duck & Deer Fest? I heard an advertisement on the radio this morning. Sounds like it'll be pretty good this year. I've been going ever since that big store opened. If a bunch of ya'll come down, we all need to get up somewhere down there.

Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.

It was alot better a couple of years ago when they started it on a Thur. night. Free beer....loud music.....tons of pretty things to look at.(duck calls and such)....finish it off with a stop by the Landing. Miss those times.
Did I kill that duck?...well yeah.

I hear ya JMallard. They used to have concerts by people like Tracy Bird and Kenny Chesney and made it an all weekend ordeal! It's on the 26th, which is Sat. I believe. They're supposed to have a bunch of Avery and Ol'Man stuff on sale. They've got retriever demonstrations, some type of competition, a bunch of giveaways, etc. If anyone doesn't know how to get there, let me know and I'll give you directions.
