self guided duckhunting ???

Postby j.r. » Sat Nov 18, 2006 8:20 am

I got a fellow that the guys that leased his place last 2yrs couldnt come up with the funds. I told him with it being late in the yr maybe he could put some adds in the paper for just 1 day hunts self guided hunts 3 times a week sat, sun, and wed. Its an easy place to hunt . I wonder what kind of price he could charge.

My translation of "the guys couldn't come up with funds" means "the guys couldn't justify the expense"

...either because they had better spots to hunt or it simply wasn't worth it.

Location, Size(acres), and water access are very crucial for a good answer to your question. If he has water and food and is in a location where ducks traditionally use he should try to find someone to lease for the year. He won't have nearly as much headache when he gets his money at one time as dealing with people at 4 am every Wed., Sat and Sun.
