All dippers and chewers...
All dippers and chewers...
I know it doesn't happen to everybody, but I lost a freind last week to oral cancer. He was a 34 year old father of three. The stuff started on his tongue. He had a peice of his tongue removed. Then a few months later it came back in his throat. Later after a disfiguring surgery, it was back, this time behind his ear. I sat with his wife last week while he took his last breath. Start to finish the ordeal to 23 months.
My friend was a practicing Christian and was ready to meet his Maker, but there are three kids ages 13,10 and 8 without a dad.
It ain't worth it!

Guys, give it up...now!!! I have one teacher friend who has lost part of his tongue, his entire gums and teeth on his left side, and he is taking radiation treatments now, hoping that this will stop it. The radiation will kill his saliva glands and he will always have to carry a bottle of water around because he will never be able to wet his own lips again. You tell me, is it worth the tobacco buzz? Nothing like a reformed chewer/smoker to preach at you, I know. But, It simply is not worth the consequences.

I quit about 3 months ago. I bought some back off, nicotine free dip. It took a little getting used to but it worked. It's easier to quit when you can still put somethng in your mouth and spit. I still buy a can of it every now and then when I need to spit..y'all should try it..At 1st it tastes bad, but you get used to it..
