Just as well buy a truck with all that size and suspension...I like em so you can still shove em around when you need to.

Personally, for me it's a Yamaha Wolverine. Never let me down, better turning ability that ANY full-time 4WD, loves the water, and will outrun (speed) most any 4wd wheeler I ever put it up against. Mine's a 1997 model, and still going like new....

Only problem with the really big (500 =) atv's is when you stick one in a field (I know, they will never get stuck....yeah, right!) Just go get the tractor, or land anchor if you have a winch, or wait for summer dry up. Cause they are there!

I've got a 300 Honda 4trax that has been incredible. It's the toughest piece of equipment I've ever owned!!! It will carry 3 large size guys + decoys etc... thru knee deep water with no problem. It's a 92 model and all I've ever done is change the oil and spark plug and I don't think that I've done that more than 2 or 3 times
Maybe I should do that again soon!!!

I have a yamaha wolverine. It is a good bike for scouting or deer hunting. The extremes that duck hunting requires are too much for it. Dragging canoes loaded with shotguns, decoys, shell bags, coolers and at least two riders on the bike is too much. It is too high geared. If you want a bike to ride on the creek ,this is your bike.

dos gris, & crow, I never said they wouldn't get stuck. I personally have never stuck one in a RICE FIELD. I don't know what kind of rice field your in, but anything with big tires should be fine in a rice field. Heck man, before 4-wheelers, we used a small 4wd john deere with 2 bus seats on the back to take hunters out. Never stuck it either! I have gotten stuck ridin at sardis, where I shouldn't have been. Even then I was able to "shove em around when you need to". Who knows maybe it's the rider??

What kind of 4 Wheeler????
Honda! Honda! Honda!
Just got back from a 4-wheeler trip to Colorado. Went with 21 others,so there was every kind of 4-wheeler you can imagine and I got a pretty good look at how they all performed. My folks went along and both of them, probably a total of over 400lbs rode on a Honda Rubicon 500. It pulled the two of them up some grades that I don't think I could have walked up! And most of the time, on the high end of the transfer case! The only time they used the low range was coming back down some of those steep grades trying to save the brakes. We took two really long rides, over 70 miles, and the Rubicon only burned around two to two and a half gallons of gas. Again, that is with two riders! On top of all that, I have pulled a load of firewood on a tailer with it that my truck wouldn't budge! It is one stout machine. I rode a Kawasaki 400 in CO and it did farely well, as did the other bikes, but none of them held a candle to the Rubicon.

What kind of 4 Wheeler????
Shoot'em, We stayed in a hotel in Ouray, CO. All the country near there is and old mining district and is full of old mining roads. Most of the roads begin near Ouray or atleast within a few miles of there. We would trailer from the hotel to the trail heads every morning and ride all day. Most of the trails were pretty easy, nothing I wouldn't do in my truck, but we rode a couple of trails that required a 4-wheeler and came to a few places that were only passable by foot. Almost all of the riding was above treeline, so it was pretty cold lots of the time with sleet and snow. It was a blast and a must-do for anyone that loves the mountains. If you do it you have to be sure to do Imogene Pass. Absolutely beutiful!

The difference of what? I don't know what your talking about.
Listen hoss, if you have the money and desire to go sink $7,000 in an ATV thats great...knock yourself out...I'm sure its worth it to you. Your taken this ATV talk to personal...what are you lookin to hear...that the Kawasaki 650 is the best bike on the market...there does that make you feel better?

I have the Yamaha Big Bear 350. It is four wheel drive all the time. I really like it and have never had a problem with it. We still have a Yamaha 225 moto 4 from 1985 that still runs like a charm. It was tough for me to buy anything else than Yamaha since the moto 4 has been so good over the years.
