Trail Cams without a flash?

Postby Jeff » Thu Jan 18, 2007 9:00 pm

Question guys. I have been wanting a trail camera, but haven't gotten around to shelling out the green for one. Well now I think I have an excuse, I have some sort of kids that are coming up behind my office and rutting up the back yard. They don't do it often enough to do a stake out, but I have an area I can stick a trail cam and get pictures of them. However I need one that can take a picture without a flash so that they don't find the camera. Does anyone have an idea if there is some sort of beast that would do this? I figuure I can have my office buy it, use it for this, then use it for me after it's all done. Then I solve two problems with one solution. Hopefully you all know of someting that will fit the bill.

Rekon makes one that is good and easy to set up and use unlike many models. Go to rekonoutdoors.

http://www.reconoutdoors.com sorry. Also try chasingame.com they have reviews of ALL cameras. Give you the good and bad of each, like the battery problem of the new cuddebacks etc. kinda a consumer report for trail cameras.

Why not just disconnect the wire going to the bulb or take the bulb out the housing for the flash of a standard unit?

I've seen one at Wal-Mart that accepts a std. Sony camcorder and will record video footage.
