Need a little help with some vacation plans**Destin**
I have been looking for several weeks now for a spot in Destin just can't seem to find what I am looking for. Just wondered if some of you guys that goes there a lot could help me out. This is what we are looking for so maybe some of you all can help me out here. There is 2 families going and we both have 2.5 year old boys so we are looking for something on the beach of course, preferably on the ground level, would like to be close to or on a golf course but not a necessity, and also (wives) would like something with a spa/sauna. That is really all that we are looking for just tired of looking at the thousand of pictures of the ones down there. Also you know they can really juice those pictures up. Just hoped maybe one of you guys owned one or had atleast stayed at one that could assure me that is was not a juiced up dump.
Thanks for the help
Justin

always stayed at the sandpiper resort in destin..not completly sure of all the ammenities but I know it has tennis courts and a 9 hole par 3
condos are not on the beach but the beach across the street is supposedly private for snadpiper guests and there is/was large gazebo with snack shop and grill
also whether you stay there or not you should go the Lagniappe restaurant there is very good

Seaside or Watercolor. Stayed at both on many occasions and highly recomend. Nice family pool at both and easy beach access. Search rent by owner on google and you should find some openings at both places. A large group of us have been going to one of these places since late 80's early nineties. Some years 2 or 3 times. It is great.

Yeah, and they have good kid's stuff. They will even take them off of your hands for a few hours for their own "mini-camp" type activities on grounds. There is a putt putt course within walking distance and a bus that runs to baytown. And they have a very nice spa for the ladies (or at least it looked like a nice spa from the prices

Went there last year and my wife really liked the spa. A shuttle can take you pretty mcuh anywhere you want to go around there. Baytown pretty much has it all.
Why is my mouth so dry this morning, when I drank so much last night?

well i live in Destin, i cant help you out on the spas and golf ,but most people with young kids enjoy some of the places on hwy 30A (grayton- seagrove- seaside) more layed back not as crowded . i am more of a fan of these places as well, sandestin is great ... good music at the boat house on the harbor, The best steak you will ever eat is at a place called PANDORAS in grayton(bone end ) and baytown is great for the fam
