North Miss. Golf Courses

Postby arkmallard » Wed Mar 21, 2007 9:13 am

Hello All, does anybody know of any golf courses in North Ms. where you can play and use your own cart. I am in Olive Branch and most of the ones here you have to rent a cart which gets pricey if you want to play a couple times a week! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Call the new course in Grenada. I don't know if they allow what you are asking but it is worth a call. I have heard wonderful things about that course from people in Jackson. Of course, take this advice for what it is worth as I have not played golf in roughly two years.

So, you take your own cart to the course ?
DeSoto County is golf mecca... but I cant imagine the courses requiring you to rent their carts. It is just to speed up play....

If you bring your own cart then you will have a trail fee which is the same as renting one of there carts.

Yeah, I like to take my cart it keeps from having to rent, and plus all my stuff is in there. I played a lot in Arkansas before I moved here and you could just take your own cart on. The courses here; Cherokee Valley, Plantation, and Wedgewood all require you to rent a cart. So I was hoping to find some where you didn't have to rent. Thanks for the replys.

Plantation & Cherkee Valley are owned by the same folks...

Kirkwood - Holly Springs
Mallard Point - Sardis
Northcreek - Horn Lake / Southaven
Quail Ridge - Bartlet / Memphis
Cordova Country Club - Cordova (duh) semi-private

Buy a "membership" at Wedgewood. They have unlimited play packages...

You could also join down at Hernando Hills and leave your cart down there. We play down there quite a bit.

I think the Dogwoods in Grenada is only 38 bucks with a cart. It is a beautiful course also. Best bang for the buck around here for sure.
