Catalpa worms. I can't believe you Mississippi boys aren't using them on jugs and trotlines. We mix cut shad and catalpa worms on trot lines. On jugs we fish about half catalpa worms or cut bait. If you don't have time to catch bait, whole mullet works well. Buy em whole and cut them like shad.

we used to catch our fair share on the red plastic wrapped hot dogs

you can dip them in something if you like but mostly we just used em straight outta the package, cut they stay on the hook well

Get you some shrimp, buy a big jar of pickles and take the pickles out. Poor the shrimp into the pickle juice and let it sit in the frige for a few days. Sometimes I put garlic salt in also.
I use it on the Miss. River catching cats. :wink:

To hell with the catfish!!! I'd be eatin the shrimp, sounds like a good recipe. :lol:

Not sure about how well it does jug fishing but tightlinin' in current this stuff works.

i alway's seem to catch bigger cat's on large crawfish, goldfish, and shrimp... and i've used soap before, old guy made a bet wit me on that soap thing... he won...
