At Carver Upper Elementary School in Indianola...the names came fast: Ladarius, Fredericka and Kobreana, among others.

She left out brothers lemonjello, limejello and oranjello. New York ain't ready for that just yet.

Never seen 'em. Guess they haven't made it to the Double Quick in Isola yet.

Never heard of 'em either- those delta folks are so cosmopolitan, much fancier than us poor old country mice in the hills!

Mother taught first grade for 33 yrs. During registration one of the mamas brings up a little boy and starts filling out the forms, spelling the kid's name P-E-E-A-I-R..........true story.

There's a lady in Vicksburg that makes her own pickles in a little shack on 61 South. She's got the best dill pickles I've ever tasted, the jar has onions, peppers and some kinda fruit in it. I stop by there damn near every time I pass it.

Has anyone had one of these concoctions or are we a little too light skinned for them...?
I bet they would be good with a mayonaise sammich.

Clarksdale Double Quick keeps them in stock. Plenty of customers that love those kool aid pickles. I have never tried one but one of the ladies here at work say they are good. Do you think people really believed that those were the names of those kids. We all know that is the case, but I just wonder if the rest of the country thought it was made up names.
There will be a day....
