What do you do to keep the ticks off your dog?

Postby Estes Lane Hunting » Thu Jul 19, 2007 9:33 am

I have been using Frontline for some time now. But it seems that every month I end up pulling off a few ticks off of my lab. Any other ideas or tricks? Thanks!

Frontline works for me... Maybe you've got some genetically altered ticks up there in the hills...

I don't know about the dog, but I check my women at least once a day for em!

We use the Zodiak flea and tick coller on both of ours and we don't have a problem with ticks - and darn little problem with fleas.

Frontline for mine. Every once and a while, usually right before we put the new dose on them, they will get one. Maybe 1-2 times a year. They live in a pretty regular back yard though, only a few trees and bushes. If they had free reign over a move forrested area, I would assume they might get more.

Never ask a man what kind of dog he has. If he has a Lab he'll tell you, if he does not you don't want to shame him by asking.
