Walmart has a kit for like $5 that has a sample of teknu in it, and a bottle of itch relief ointment. Best buy that I've found so far. Teknu washes the oils from the affected area off and then put the anti-itch cream on.

The Z stuff, followed up with some anti-itch steroid creme to keep me from scratching it, has worked for me. Yes, that Z schit is expensive. But, if it works, it is worth it.

I've had poison ivy three different times this past summer. And its still out there, ready for me again. Hopefully, after 3 times, I've now learned my lesson and will avoid it, and/or wash off immediately after being exposed to it. But, my wife says I'm a hard-headed SOB.

Scalding hot water will take away the itch for me, and makes the skin dry out.

scratch the chit out of it with a hair brush while you are kicking your leg like a dog. thats the fun part. then take straight clorox and pour it on. not diluted. this stings like hell but it will not come back.

I will second the pvc cleaner, works great . I have found that if you will take a hot shower (real hot) first and scrub it to get the pours open that the cleaner works better. Burns like a biatch though.

all yall need is some Zanfel.... will cure it up instantly. and if you know that you are highly allergic like some have said then yall need to keep some Tecnu in your truck. As soon as you know you have come into contact with it scrub down with Tecnu and it will break up the oils and you wont even break out or start itching.
