I keep hearing this lame booty...its for security, insurance purposes.....WHATEVER. I think grenades are outlawed too, what about napalm? On a serious note, isnt it illegal to even posess or buy poison used for deer if you arent a doctor?
Deer will be lost, and its not going to waste if you kill a deer and dont find it...nature will run its course. Learn how to shoot your damn bow, know your equipment and what it is capable of, and take good shots!

NEVER
shot it myself but I have taken people hunting that used it. A friend shot over a does back one day, then later on the same day shot another doe and made a good hit. As we were dragging the "good hit" out of the woods, we stumbled over the deer that he had "missed", the hide was just barely split open and she didn't even bleed, but she hadn't made it more than 40 or 50 yards before she died.

So Riverduck.....You are telling me that you "know your equiptment" and can "shoot your bow " well enough to NEVER hit a twig or NEVER pull a shot? And you are 100% ok with losing a game animal to nature. I promise that nature gets their share of deer. You are probably one of those that will shoot a dove and it falls over in a grass field and you are to good to cross the fence and make a valiant effort to find the downed game. So that "nature can run its course" WHATEVER!

I have a question for the people that have used it... Do you throw away the meat directly in contact with poison pod or is it safe to eat... That has always scared me.. Thats why I haven't ever used it... I work a lot with temik and I know how that works. I just don't know exactly how the pod works..
A little hoover sauce would cover that poison taste right up.....your nap may just be a little longer than expected when you get through eating.

It is I......The Doctor.....
I shoot em in the ribs, which I do not keep.....but I have shot em in the shoulder and I do not dicard the meat that the poison touched.
It is not a poison in the way yall are thinking..if ya get a little bit in a cut you are not going to keel over dead or go into convulsions.....It has a hell of effect on hooved animals...deer, goats, etc.....that is where the statement I made earlier that it takes more to take a human down than it does a deer.

It is not actually a posion. From what I have been told it is the same stuff that anethesiaologist use during surgery that they "drive" your body with. It shuts your muscles down. Your heart is a muscle. If it is slowed down to the point it cannot pump blood throughout your body then you die. It does not actually posion anything it just slows the major muscles dowm to the point of your body shutting down.
Dr. Duckaholic, am I correct

what poison do you use?? I have always heard of using anectine, which emergency rooms use on a regular basis. It paralyzes your muscles, e.g. your heart, for a short period of time (like 10-30 mins), but it dissolves in the blood, and will not taint the meat. so theoretically, if you cut yourself with a poisened arrow, you could have someone give you CPR until your heart kicked back in, and you would be fine.
