Micah, the weekend before the season opened, we were covered up with them. Then sometime during the middle of the week, they left, so there were none, and I mean NONE in my area last weekend, until Sunday afternoon, several bunches arrived. I looked at ALOT of places today in north delta, only saw one with about 35 teal on it, so I'm gonna hunt it in the morning. There's been a bunch here, just not at the right times. Hope this helps.

Still no teal to speak of in my part of the state, at least extreme SE Mississippi.

From what my freinds in the lease say, it was mega high water this mornin' (I didn't get to go ). Anyway however they did say that there was some serious shootin in red pass a finger off the river that had shallower water. Said it was like a war over there this mornin'. So I guess they are around and will have to let the water subside to see where all the teal actually are. I will be out Wed. and Thur. for sure, so I'll let ya know.

Micah, we saw at least 150 teal opening morning of dove season. the following saturday morning (opening day) we didn't see a single teal...NOT 1!!! in years past we'd see these birds on opening day of dove season, then go back the next weekend and have wonderful shoots....i haven't the faintest idea where they went this year.

We get so few teal here in Alabama (north of the Mobile Delta that is), it isn't worth the time it takes to go hunting. I've not heard any reports of really great numbers of teal this year either.

I guess I'm just biding my time for the real duck season by making sure the decoys are clean, putting on new Ace Anchors on all of them, cleaning the boat, shooting a LOT of clays and buying lots of new clothing.
