Indoor helicopter

Postby Seymore » Thu Oct 04, 2007 7:17 pm

I'm sure ya'll have seen the commercials of the tiny helicopters that are to flown in the house. Well, I bought one at a local store just for the heck of it. Thought my ten year would like it.

I have been buzzing the cats all evening. My wife is hollering at me to stop, but, it's such fun. Cat puffs up with hair standing on end, hisses, and does back flips as I fly just out of paw reach.

Those things are waaay too much fun. Kids these days have the coolest toys. And I thought the ninja turtles were revolutionary when I was little.

Mine is kinda messed up since i am rough with it, but you can fly it around. You let off the accelerator so it drops the nose then hammer it so it will go forward. You can steer it left and right but its the direction its facing not a left or right pitch, which would be cool. One cool thing to do is instead of lanching it flat, you hold it at an forward angle almost a 90 degree and hammer it, it will fly across the room in a pendelum (down to up) when it hits the top of the pendelum it turns and fly back at you to buzz you.

Walmart has them, i also have a plane. Its pretty cool, but its more of a glider version. You can turn left and right, and thats about it, but they have other planes you can do rolls, and flips with that are battery powered. I was supprised by how long you can fly the planes, you have a good, 10-15 min depending on how fast you fly it. The helicopter about same.

I got it at Walmart, but, it was not very manuverable. I let the kids have this one and went back to Walmart and bought one with two rotors for more stability and directional props on it. This one is much better. I have 360 degree manuverability with this one. It's the Air Hog reflex

The cats really hate me now.

Instead of the dog house I may be spend the night in the cat box.

I'll try to get one of my daughters film on cell phone a air strike mission on the cats. I'll then have to figure out how to post it.

My wife told me to grow up

I got one from Brookstone It's called the MicroFlyer and is made by Excaliber. Little bitty thing and is a blast to play around with. I chase my dogs most of the time with it.

Mine has the EXACT same controller, just a different looking plane.
