Question for Wingman and Others
Question for Wingman and Others
First of all I know that Game Wardens have a tough job to do. My question is WHY would this guy come to our club at 6:15 am on opening day of gun season and start riding a 4 wheeler up and down the road then walk up to our hunters in their stands at 7:00 in the morning to see if you are wearing orange and have a license. Is this a standard practice? I can not for the life of me figure out why you would do this. We had one guy who had taken his son on his first deer hunt only to have it ruined at 7 am. This was also on private land. I am just looking for some clarification on this matter.
Gennerally a pile of beer cans, a dozen shots before 5:00 am and the 30-40 empty bags of corn should have given you a clue.
But, that's just why I would think they might have checked you.
Just given you some grief. Hope it didn't ruin your hunt.

We had a GW do this to us a couple of times at an old camp I was in.. He wasn't there long before getting the boot for another uhummm violation..

The only time I will go in on a deer hunter is when a known violation is occurring, i.e. hunting w/ aid of bait, trespassing, etc.
I would ask you not to post the officer's name on this forum. We don't need to start that mess.

Don't sound to bright to me. It would be a toss up between me taking a stroll down Medgar Evars after dark or walking through some woods with a bunch of itchy trigger finger rednecks.
