How to keep glasses from fogging

Postby mille011 » Mon Nov 26, 2007 1:09 pm

This is the first year that I have had to where glasses while hunting. Is there any type of product that I can put on my glasses to keep this from happening?

Thanks

I've been wearing glasses since before I can remember, and the best thing I can think of is to use a simple net to cover your face, instead of an insulated facewarmer. I use one of those turkey face mask nets. It doesn't keep you warm, but since it doesn't constrict your breath, your glasses won't fog up either.

If you still want to use a product specifically for that, just go to Wally World and get some lens cleaner from their optical shop. That stuff is supposed to prevent fog-ups too.
Nobody owes you anything.

Depends on whether you have glass lens or plastic. Anytype of defog works. can get it at scuba shops or possibly optometrists. Or don't breave.

anti fog

I found some stuff at a gun show several years ago. The stuff works great. I keep it on all my glasses, sunglasses including. It was $10 for 3 bottles. This was in 02 or 03 I don't remember. I have a bottle at home one in the office and one in my truck. It's a jel type substance but takes only one drop per lense. Rub it in good and remove with soft cloth. The name of it is See-Clear Glass Cleaner. Toll free number on bottle is 1-888-612-8778. If they are still in business I would reccommend it highly.

thanks

I raced quads also and we used liquid dish soap.

Just a drop on a paper towel and rub it in until you can't see anymore soap. I use this on my scope and my binocs...

You can also go spend $8 bucks at Auto Zone for the high tech Rain -X stuff! It works great also.

as the resident eye doc on here, I like the LASIK option! There is something out there that will limit the glasses fogging up but nothing I've found is a 100% sure thing. Contacts work great for hunting too.

Just learn to see through all the mud and water on the lenses.
