This forum is for general discussion that doesn't fit in the other topic-specific forums.

if you could would you create a law that says no hunter can venture outside of his state to hunt waterfowl or would you leave it like it is...

Let them hunt. Just ban waders for OOSers.

We have the same problem in Maryland, trust me.... We must remember we are ALL on the same side no matter what state you hunt... I still hate to see Pa tags at the ramp...

I under stand OOSers help the economy, but I don't think they should be eligible to enter in draw hunts, though. It is just unfair when you pay state taxes here in Mississippi, and someone from another state gets a hunting opportunity you don't get.

That is a fair view point.

I couldn't help it Champ...it's such a nondescriptive way of calling someone that...without actually calling them that.

I am taking it from you...bish.

BTW I agree with JD.

I go out of town to do to much other hunting to be all for hunting in your own state. In fact I'm going to Canada for the first time next year and then driving home and hitting the Dakotas for some duck and pheasant hunting, then Missouri, then Arkansas, then Mississippi. Also plan to go to Argentina for some dove and duck next year, so I would have to say I'm definitely against it.

Go to any hotel parking lot, public hunting parking lot and see the OOS during deer season here.
Hey I figure they must want it as bad as anyone else, they paid, got up early let em hunt.
Bunch of people getting pissed because they don't like competition I don't like it either but welcome to real world.
What would be next? Only the county you live in? Can only hunt 20 miles from your house?
Just what we need more laws, remember everytime a new law is created we lose a little freedom!!
I'm a Cubs fan and a duck hunter..maybe next year...saying maybe next year in May makes for a long year........

I'll take the opposite spin. I think it should be inexpensive for OOS. They bring money to the areas they fish/hunt, which generates jobs, tax money and just money in general. I have no problem with OOS hunters/fishers in our area. Even if they hunt your spot once, they will be gone next time you want to go.

I understand that you all have a lot of OOS people in MS, but I bet it's nowhere near the OOS we have to fish down here in S. Louisiana. We also get lots of OOS hunters also, I still say they do more good for our state than bad.

Also, if they were no OOS'ers what would happen to the I-way gps system?

Although you have vehemently declined several invites to breakfast and a duck hunt on the "man boat", stating IN FACT that you thought it was a woman boat, yet you opted to go to the woods ALONE with Ted, sounds fishy to me
