Hey D.Duck, Chief is the big black male I had up there this year,(I think you commented on how big he was) He's 4 and doing a great job! Duckin just would'nt be the same without him. His great granddad is Candlewoods Super Tanker! Supposed to be good blood from what I gather! Not that it really matters! Turned down $1,500 when he was 10 months old, and that seemed stupid at the time! Now I dont think I could part with him for 15 grand. Just the way I am!!! Cant help it!!!
I chimed in on your poll @ 85 to 99 lbs, altho he stays on the lighter end of that weight class!
Holler back!!!

Griffey is about 94 lbs of muscle and is 2. Unfortunalty, this will be his first year in the blind. He was way to high strung to hunt out of the boat his first year. I have him settled down and his instincts have never been an issue. I had him trained to hand signals in his first two months of training (which is a miracle because I am no dog trainer for sure!). He'll do fine this year. We are starting swimming just now that the weather isn't in the teens and there isn't ice to deal with.
I also own his full sister, Darby. She's a powerpack to at 70lbs. She just turned one and loves to retrieve. She's not as smart nor does she have the instincts Griffey has, but she WILL be a whale of a duck dog.
I'm not married and I don't have any kids, so it's fun and easy for me to talk dogs!

Well my white lab weighs in at a hardy 22lbs but he is only 11 weeks old. Already kennel trained, house trained, fetches one after another, and we started training him to sit this week. Took to it like a champ. I can't wait for this season to come around so me and my buddy can hit the river. Sure is fun training my little pup although it gets a little frustrating at times.

Nash is 72lbs and will be 9 mos old on the 11th. I am currently working with Scott Marcin of Delta Dreams to work out a few "quirks" but other than that he is self trained. Neeedless to say the quirks are my fault.
I am looking foward to hunting with him this year, He is a good dog, good with the kids and other dogs and does a very good job working the bumpers.

I was forunate to purchase a white female lab from Scott Spencer. Each day we work "Dakota" for about 10 minutes. She is now 16 months old and we had a great first year together. She is smart and easy to work with. Thanks Scott for allowing her into our family.
Our other dog, Duke a male chocolate male lab, was given to us by a trainer when the owner no longer wanted him. Duke is 2 years old with great skills, we also work him about 10 minutes each day.

RIP'EM my dad has a dog kin to yours, he is a son of CandleWoods Supertanker. Ole Fred is a little past his prime @ 10+ years old, but still goes out to the gun club everyday to hang out with the rest of the old farts! In his day was a awesome dog, the first one we all learned on. Finished with his AKC master title and untold amounts of retreives in the duck blind. Out of curiosity where did you find yours?
