Cuzin Swamp....I found an old pic of me back in 93ish at Lake Matammuskeet near the outer banks,North Carolina .Tundra Swan hunting..1 tag draw permit.thing......on a dare.....i took my homemade recurve and somehow the dang thing flew right into my cedar arrow....I am sure dozens and dozens of people on this board have done it..but I have you know I kept sort quiet about it.......probably everyone will chime in now with their Tundra Swan Traditional bow kill pics or maybe have done so already....but here it is......funny thing though , everyone keeps telling me I look like a celebrity..go figure...merry Xmas and hope this was not pointless

#3 John William Lawlyer.......North Metro......Torts Lawyer.. John William loves duck hunting and scotch. Truth is he is not too good at either one. John William is an equity owner in "Whispering Wings" Waterfowl LLC. near Crowder. John William has got the gear and he is not ashamed to pull it behind the Land Cruiser with 2 Ole Miss Loyality stickers one front and one on back. Barbour,Filson or anything waxed is attire of choice. He especialy is fond of the 4" brim Filson he wears safari style. But lately he complains of a rank smell from the lid, unaware his friend JC has deployed Tinks 69 in the headband. John William has a nice looking English black lab that he named...................you guessed it!!!.....................Rebel!......A typical morning timber hunt with John William and Rebel is one that will stay with you longer than a Doe's hot tamale. You can just close your eyes and still hear.....John William's scotch laden horse voice................Rebel....HERE!!!....................REBEL................HERE......................NO!.........NO!......REBEL..HERE....NO...........................REBEL,HERE,NO.............sorry guys, he never does this...............COME HERE DAMN'IT....................."hey guys, keep hunting, the ducks just think he's a beaver"............"Oh here he comes."......."GOOD boy REbel...yeah..Good BOY......Thats my BOY...yeah, you Daddy's Little boy..treat? treat?....yeah yeah yeah".....this talk goes on for several minutes...........................................John William reaches in his pocket and hands Rebel a cold sausage and biscuit that the oldest member, 79 year old Mr. Scruggins ...the original land owner,, would have enjoyed hot 2 hours ago at camp but John William snatched the last one up for the pouch............This will be John William's last duck this year. He has to have some minor rotor cuff surgury next week. Seems that years of throwing empty hulls to help Rebel mark a 30 yard belly up floater has taken it's toll. Although he would disagree and say it's from an old football inqury he got playing at Jackson Prep..... John William has his crap packed up neat as a pin by 9:01 sunday and will be grinding gravel as he heads back to North North Jackson. But before he leaves he slips some comments to other equity members at the plucking shack who did kill ducks, like these......"Yep, They are all still locked up in Mo and Iowa"...."I have a client up there that has a big spread and keeps begging me to come".."can't do it."......"Ya'll probably need to go ahead and put another board in the Lower Twist culvert. I beleive we need at least waist deep water in this timber to wade in"........"The "Lodge" looked clean this weekend, good job everybody" "hey Rebel did alright didn't he?"...then he whispers to Royce real low...."who was that "illegitimate child" from Indianola with that rusty o/u that called in all those ducks for ya'll?"....."Hey everybody I'm out of here...Hammer Time! Hammer Time..we smoked them didn't we!....Ya'll don't F!@# with my bed now!!!"..........John William hasn't put Whispering Wings very far in his rear view when ole man Scruggins walks over and takes a leak all over John William's lay down blind.....................#4 Chee-Boy the Destroyer..yells out......Breakfast!!!!!!!!!!!

A few good hunters, the rest IDIOTS

I felt like I have wasted the last 20 minutes of my life reading this pile of crap. If most, and I say MOST, of you were actually hunting and not on this web site talking about making 75K as a nurse, by the way the best RN job I've ever heard of, or pigeon holing duck hunters by some of the most non-sense descriptions, you still would probably not be killing ducks. Bankerman made a great point-" I only made a post to come out and get more shells."

I'm glad some of you are in front of your computer and not anywhere near my duck camp trying to competition call w/you mallard machine and 2 mojos and all of your BRAND NEW Drake Waterfowl gear. Are they doing a magazine shoot or what? I know some of you on this site which are some of the finest duck hunters in the south and it appears the others on here just run their mouth abount some stories and TV shows they've seen and/or heard and recreate the moment like they were actually there or throw out names of land owners and club members they MAY have met.

This topic has got so ridiculous that I did not want to even post. You are probably asking "who the *!#$ is this guy?" Well, just a dedicated duck hunter that loves the sport and gets after it. Thats all I have to say! Nothing else. If you came out and duck hunted w/us you would see. We kill ducks and don't have prove it. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy seeing the good times and great hunts some you you post but I don't want to see all of the ridiculous stuff like SX3 ( the horrible pics of the blown-to-pieces duck/goose) and all the other crap. If you don't have any better pics like those, just keep hunting behind over look pointe and crossgates.

I'm sure there will be several stabs at this post. Go ahead. I probably won't read it until the end of January b/c I'm hunting and not on this site talking about hunting.

He's part of the Madison Mafia...and feels slighted that he wasn't included in the Brandon boys club.

Good stuff...keep it coming. You've hit the nail on the head with every one of your "types" so far. I can see each and every one of them vividly in my mind.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

This is by far the best one because it hits so close and yet so far away from home. you nailed about 99% of people in my graduating class (yes, I went to prep) that are attorneys. I like to think of myself as the exception to this all too familiar classmate. keepem coming man. :D

I wonder if after reading a fiction story at duck camp on the futon ,dbarnes emails the author on his wireless computer to voice his disgust in the profile of one of the author's fictionial characters?

Hey, dbarnes, jealous of my salary or something? It's from working lots of extra during the off-season, usually 8, or even 9, 12-hr. night shifts every two weeks, some of them for double-time. I was just responding to deagle's jab at me from earlier, which he later admitted was only in jest. So what's YOUR problem, sparky? Keep it up, swamprooter!
you did put in the plug, right?
