President "O"

Postby Bankermane » Sun Jan 06, 2008 2:06 pm

Can you believe the choices for President that we have to choose from.

Pres O-bomb-a - Been a politician about 15 minutes, admits trying coke and weed.

Hillary - Her husband isn't even loyal to her

Fred Thompson - Back up actor on Law and Order

Huckaberry Hound - Ex preacher turned base guitarist

Rudy - Married to his future third ex wife

Romney - mormon or something

I don't know who to support. Prolly go with the war hawk or fraternity boy with a $400 haircut. Give me some real reason why I should be happy about voting for one of the above

I'll never knowingly vote for a coke head. Espically one who uses it to help with his struggle for racial identity. What a load of crap. IF you have used it please come up with a better story that doesn't show your lack of backbone and weakness.

I'd said "Hey it was the early '80's and I was trying to score with a really hot coke head so when in Rome....."

I'm all for Huckabee. Been following him as governor of Arkansas since way before he moved the governor's mansion into a triple wide....never knew he was a Baptist preacher until recently the media has used that as a smear attempt - obviously it didn't work with me.

He gotta Gomer Pyle look to him. Needs to put down that Bass guitar. Honestly, I believe I'd vote for Haley over the whole bunch.
I can't believe that we're choosing between a black Muslim, a woman, a southern preacher, another womanizer, and a TV actor. Where are the politicians. Not a duck hunter in the bunch.

Huckabee. I don't care about social issues when voting for president since they have little power when it comes to that. Touting the Fair Tax is why I'm loyal to him. He's coming around on the immigration front, and he's not a stiff like the rest of them. And him being an Arkansas duck hunter helps too.

I like huckabee, but remember the last guy that was voted in from Arkansas?

The only thing about Huckabee is the fair tax issue that i have a problem with. Here is the best article i have seen that explains what he is behind.

Ron Paul For President

I like the Fair Tax as well but there is no way it would ever be passed by Congress. Huckabee is wasting his time on the fair tax. It looks like McCain is gaining some momentum but do we want a 72 year old president? If Romney was not a Mormon he could run away with this race.

As bad as these candidates look I would take any of them right now over our current president.

In my Humble opinion, Huckabee is the only choice we have. If they gave me 3 choices of the group to pick for Pres. it would be Huckabee 1, Romney 2, and Mcain 3. McCain lost my vote with the amnesty bill he tried to pass, and he will give us 4 or 8 more years of the same as we got now. There are no choices among the dems in my opinion. I can't understand why the other Dem candidates aren't winning. They have more experience in Gov. leadership than either Obama or Hillary. Doesn't make sence to me. I'm not sure how either of them qualify as being able to run for pres. Shouldn't there be some sort of political plateau you have to reach first?

That person obviously has NO idea about the Fair Tax. They haven't read the book or done any research. Go to http://www.fairtax.org and learn it for yourself. Better yet, read the fair tax book by Neal Boortz. This "30%" b.s. is the same thing people that have no idea about the fair tax have been saying since it came out. It's not true. For example: Tennessee's current sales tax is 9.5% (we'll round to 10%). If I buy a $1 pack of gum, I pay $1.10. The retarded math that guy was spouting would make it that in Tennessee I would be paying $1.11 (10% of $1.10). That's not how it works.

The other thing that all the nay sayers will tout is that products will be so much more expensive. In truth, when companies don't have to pay payroll taxes, or any other taxes, that will knock off about 20% on their costs of production. That way products will end up costing the consumer about the same as before since companies can charge less for the same product. Lowering payroll taxes, making it cheaper for the producer, will allow the company to hire more people, creating more jobs for AMERICANS. This will save companies from having to move over seas for cheaper labor. This will allow the market to WORK, as opposed to being hand cuffed by gov't involvement.

The stupid theory that the fair tax will hurt the poor is a myth. They always leave out the mention of the prebate. Every person below the poverty line will pay NO taxes. Allowing those who are attempting to move up the ladder of society to actually have a chance at doing so. The prebate also details how you will get refunded on the expendatures of basic necessitys of life. In other words, you pay no taxes on food. So people that want to save their money...CAN!

But wait... If people are saving their money and not spending it, doesn't that hurt our country. No. What happens to money that isn't spent? It is in bank or investments. Banks loan that money out for people to get a mortgage on their home, investments in companies go to producing goods and services, thereby creating jobs and more wealth for America.

The Fair Tax is Fair and simple. When people try and complicate it, you know they have no idea what they are taking about.
Support the Fair Tax!
