2007 wrap up....

Postby goosebruce » Thu Jan 10, 2008 11:43 am

any of ya'll sat down and looked at your dogs for 2007. Over a year, it amazing all the places you go, tests you run and money you spend. I just sat down and looked at the ribbon thread to remind me of 2007.

34 out of 39 in finished, 10 out of 10 in started, 4 out of 5 in seasoned. Thats 48 of 54 or 89%. 2 shr's, an hr, and a hrch out of that. Thats $2700 in entry fees alone, wont even think about gas or hotels. Also managed to judge 8 assignments, and had 3 or 4 apprentices out of that. Pretty cool to sit back and look at your whole year.

Lets hear some recaps. travis

2007 Recap

Postby godawgs1 » Thu Jan 10, 2008 12:53 pm

Ran Murphy in our very first Hunt Test in Crowder Spring 2007.....

18 Hunt Test later and app. $1100 in entry fees we have an HRCH. She was 12/18 and I can say that most of the non-passes were my fault, not hers. Definitely learned a lot. Thanks to Steve for the final pass in Arkansas.

Don't even want to count the miles, hotels, beers, etc., but it was well worth it.

2 for 2 in started, and 1 for 2 in seasoned. Had a TON of fun, and made some GREAT friends.
I for one am about ready for this piss poor duck season to be over so I can free up some extra time for training. Got a young one I might spring on you guys next fall, and got to get 2 more seasoned passes on Buck before he retires from the HT scene.....

Did not keep up with it but I had one heck of a great time. Nash and I managed to complete his Senior Hunter with out puking and T-Bone got a master pass on him, one more and he has his MH. Would like to get another upland pass for his UH title. Maybe I can find the time this year to get them both out of the way.

I do have plans on hitting the test hard this fall, the new pup should be ready to run Started and Junior and maybe attempt Seasoned by then. If not season then next spring is gonna be fun.

It took a minute or two to compute....but came up wif 13-18.

It was a fun year to say the least. Sadee (aka "mumadawg" aka "bus") ran her first Finished test and wound up going 2-3 with the one hiccupp, of course, handler error. My Daisee girl started off hot going 4-4 in Finished and obtained her CH Title til we/she/I failed our first Finished test and wound up 6-8. She also went also went 3-5 in Senior. I double staked her at Flora in the fall and she got her SH title and her first Master pass in the same weekend. I also managed to put a Master pass on Doc & Nash's dog Nash to close out the hunt test season.

Aint even gonna tally the $$$$ cuz it dont matter. You cant put a price tag on the fun and comradery that I had....period! peace

Bout time to thaw out the ducks and get the wingers out!!!!!!!

CDwyer got Lucy her HR Title,

She made it to the second series of her Derby,

Then had a bad weekend if Flora(0-2)

Finally in December, She prolapsed, had a hysterectomy, spent several days in the vet, week later got an infection, went back to vet.

DONE FINE NOW.

She made it farther than that in that derby...Handler? Not so much!

Didn't know about her female troubles....Glad she is doing fine.

ours was fairly slow compared to some. I get my springs mixed up,, but made it through the few we ran this fall, and had a large time as always.
