Trey is still here but I'm not sure if he has ED

Gayden left for greener pastures, green with cash that is. Doing good from what I here though.

Tentative date for Warbler Box Day (as MSDawg870 put it) will be Saturday, Feb 16. We'll meet at 8 AM at McDonald's in Belzoni.

Delta Wildlife graciously donated almost 70 boxes and guards to us and I have about 30 to put up in the Sky Lake area. The others are going on O'Keefe, Malmaison and Yockanookany WMA's.

I am trying to run down some poles and we'll be all set. We'll probably be putting up some duck boxes as well.

PM me if you can make that date. Thanks for the help.

Yes, we'll need some of those t-post drivers or either some heavy hammers. I think I have a tractor-mounted post hole digger close by. I'll try to have the holes pre-drilled for mounting on the metal posts, but we'll need some drills and drill bits just in case. We'll need some cordless screwdrivers for mounting them on the 4x4's. I've got plenty of sheetrock screws for that. Depending on the # of folks, we could use a few ATV's or UTV's, but we've got to make sure we don't rut up anything.

Going to pick up some bluebird boxes now. It's looking like a busy day for Sky Lake Bird Box Day!

Okay, we've got 32 warbler boxes, 24 bluebird boxes, 10 new duck boxes and about 20 old duck boxes to put up.

I'm gonna try to have all the duck boxes on the poles and the holes drilled in the bluebird/warbler boxes for mounting on their poles once we drive them in the ground.

Bring a few limb saws to clear some branches near the boxes.

Alright, here's what we'll need equipment-wise:

Heavy hammers (like 5 lb sledge) for driving metal posts into ground. We've got about 40 posts to drive.

Wrenches (adjustable) for tightening bolts on BB and PW boxes to posts.

Smaller hammers for putting nails/roofing tacks into 4x4 posts to hold guards on and flashing onto wooden poles.

Tin snips to cut the flashing (roofing valley).

Shovels for packing dirt around 4x4 posts on duck boxes.

Couple of posthole diggers for the duck boxes we can't dig with the tractor mounted phd.

I'll already have the duck boxes mounted on the posts. We'll put guards on at the site and drop in the hole.

Couple of ATV's or UTV's for hauling junk through the swamp.

Kinda reminds me of a parakeet. What's the limit on them? Do they fly in big groups, pairs, or alone. I was thinking #9 shot?
