those are tigon tracks if i've ever seen them. he probably had huge talons...

...seriosuly, though, I have heard of there being cougars/mountain lions/panthers spotted in mississippi every now and then. it'd be rare but. it can happen.

Canine. You can see claw marks. The only cat that doesn't have retractable claws ar cheetahs.

What you have there is the ever elusive bouga chitta swamp monster track that wonder to far off of bouga chitto swamp. Legend has that it is half cat half dog and walks upright like a man. Stands dern near 6' tall. So i have heard. Legend is an old choctaw chief cursed his pet dog for chasing the cats. (go figure) Never ever seen one but according to my best friends counsin's uncle twice removed it is real one put its paws on his truck hood. He saw it and they stared at each other for ever. All I kow is I do not want to get lost in the bouga chitta swamp. There is evil out htere.

My friend, what you have stumbled upon is the track of the elusive canis latrans. It is often seen wandering the hinterlands in the dark of night, even in the close environs of the suburban south.

Tread lightly!
