That must be some kind of "parents" and "kids" thing. I only know 'bout "Bob" from my friends little kids. Wait, I think GH22 watches that, too.

It troubles me that cartoons have come to this...a show about a sponge! Where are the days of Mighty Mouse, Huckleberry Hound, Yogi the Bear, and the Roadrunner? Now, there were some cartoons!

Yeah, in my day it was the Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show. That is what I call Saturday morning entertainment. If only I could have lent sylvester my remington 870 supermag to deal with tweety. 8)

WATCH IT????? BOB IS IN MY SHOWER AT THIS VERY MOMENT. Laying in the floor of the tub right beside the 2 foot long rod and reels and the magnetic lobster.

Hehe, my shower (and the rest of my house) have undergone an amazing transformation.

Before marriage: I had (1) bottle of Pert Plus, (1) bottle of Selsun Blue and (1) bar of soap in the shower (sometimes, I used the same bar for sink and shower)

After marriage: (1) bottle of Pert Plus, (1) bottle of Selsun Blue, (4) bars of soap, (19) bottles of shampoo, conditioner, hair body lifter....whatever, bubble bath, etc. etc., (3) razors-none of which are mine (1) wash mitten for children, (1) Baby Bop sponge toy, (1) Sponge Bob Square Britches, (4) plastic rod and reels with magnetic fish, (6) bath cloths (you know, it's illegal to use the same one 2 days in a row if you're a woman)

I personally liked the Pink Panther, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Elmer. As for Sponge Bob it's a sad world when everyone going crazy for a sponge and his under water community of friends. People keeps saying everytime you get a chance to take a kid hunting of fishing, well Sponge Bob is why.

GWFB... I gotta call $#!+ on you bro... you wrote... 'I personally liked the Pink Panther, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Elmer. Why would sponge bob be a reason to need to take kids hunting, when the cartoons you mentioned had a serious antihunting tone, a seriously violent tone, and gave animals human emotions & thought processes? If the bugs bunny show didn't "@#$%#" all us up, I don't see sponge bob as a bane to todays youth. In fact, I see sponge bob as what will be a classic cartoon, just like the bugs and daffy stuff, because kids and adults as well can watch it and enjoy it on different levels.

People say take a kid hunting or fishing because you should. Its more fun than watching tv for either of you. travis

Yup... missed so much work this spring with the kidney stones and wifes parents dying... I've been WAY behind. Worked harder last 6 weeks than the last 6 months! Killing me.

I understood the point of whacked out stuff... I just don't see it as whacked out compared to what we grew up with. No paddle smacking, just calling it as I see it. And gary the snail that meows is funner than crap! travis

i don't know which is funnier and maybe more disturbing :D ...the fact that we've turned ole bugs into a tree hugging dude; so many folks watching actually watching sponge bob and admitting it; that fact that this is actually being debated here; or (and this may just take it) the mental image burned in my noggin of travis perched in an ole lazy boy watching a meowing snail...whewwwwwwweeeeeee!!!! bwahahahaha!
