What can I spray to get rid of it??? I have something, but it is supposed to be very hot before you spray it. I need something that will work now.

MSMA if you can still find it but it needs to be in the 80's for a few consecutive days. Also might try Trimec or Q4 as they both will get the job done now.

Well hold on to it, it has been pulled from the market and once the supplies that are on the shelfs are gone it will be no more. You can buy Trimec from the Co-Op in Starkville(at least last year you could) and I am sure Mr. Roy at the Co-Op in Louisville can get it for you if he doesnt have it

You do not have crabgrass right now. If you are in south Mississippi it may have germinated already, but it will not be large enough for you to see. Go ahead and put down a pre-emergent now so you will not have any crabgrass this summer. Your more than likely are looking at poa annua or some kind of winter annual weed in your yard now. If you can post a picture I will tell you what to spray.

FWIW...I was at the Home Despot this last weekend and they had several brands of MSMA.

The MSMA at Home Depot and Lowes isn't the same concentration as what you soon will NOT be able to get at the CO OP.

Yes they may still have it, but this summer it will all be pulled off the shelves. I have gotten this info first hand from several chemical reps that I have had to deal with in the last several years. And like someone else said the stuff Lowes and Home Depot sell isnt the same stuff, look at the ingridiants and it will explain that it is a slightly watered down version but it to will be pulled this summer or fall. But it really doesnt matter right now b/c its not hot enough to start spraying it yet anyway.

Ace, Yes I am still chasing the crappie in fact I chase them year round. I have made plans to go with a buddy to Grenada Friday but I will be home all of next week and plan on fishing every day. Just let me know when you are free and if greenheadgrimreaper hasnt already laid claim to the back seat then we should be able to set something up
