I'm Back....My computer was infected by the Blaster Worm

After forking out $150 to a professional computer tech, I finally got my system purged of this damn Blaster Worm. I had additional security upgrades done as well. Did anyone else have their computer infected or was I the lone ranger?

Yep! Shut me down at home and shut down my entire office. Two computer guys spent the entire day at my office cleaning all the computers and putting in patches.

I am convinced that the computer tech and virus protection program companies contribute money to a pot that is used to pay hackers who create viruses or worms that then have to be fixed by the computer tech and viruis protection companies.

I could have fixed your computer I called your house and got the machine on Tue. I had the same problem with my computer and was calling to see if you had problems.

Really.....sounds like you got overcharged. I fixed 6 machines with the Blaster worm in two hours on Tuesday morning. Who'd you take it to?

will fix blaster in fifteen minutes flat, and all day long for that kinda cheese.

nothing like a squad full of returning undergraduates with a "busted laptop". think keeping a virus out of your network is fun, try keeping the minions from bringing it into the building for you! gives new meaning to pushing patches to workgroup and domain members, and sure as hell raises the bar on that deadline.

I got it too. I fixed it myself using instructions on the comcast/microsoft pages. Really irritated me, it caused me to miss two auctions on ebay.
