Re: Orange Beach
If you have done places like Louisiana Laniappe, Bay Side Grill, Zekes and looking for something different go to the Warf and try Guy Harvey's Island Bar and Grill. Its kind of got like a fishing/sports bar feel inside, usually have live entertainment outside along the Intercoastal, good food as well. While you wait walk across the breezeway and check out his art gallery it is unreal. Of course you have to go to Tacky Jacks for breakfast, have you one of their patent bloody mary's or screwdrivers while you wait for a table. Head off to Pirates Cove for a hamburger at lunch, not sure if that place is a place for families so may want to scratch that idea. For lunch may want to stick to Tacky Jacks or Fish Tales (on the water at the Warf). Hope this helps!

Re: Orange Beach
Desoto's in Gulf Shores is great, lunch is the best time prices are real good and the food is great. I think they have the best royal reds down there.
Pirates cove hamburgers are outstanding, we put our boat in at a little public launch back up the creek in pirates cove and stop have a hamburger on the way back in most of the time. It is a bar and you have to remember that but during the day there are always kids running around out on the sand. Neat place.
Wolf Bay Lodge, the best fried seafood down there, the whole flounder is great, get there early though. The place is always full of locals if that will tell you anything. They are closed on Mondays thought I think

Oyster House is the bomb! Cheese grits are like ice cream. Also my new favorite place to eat there is........ Calypso Joes. Go there and you can watch all the boats come in with there catches. My kids love it. Great Atmosphere and good food.

Second on Wolf Bay Lodge. When we had our condo down there, we made it a point to eat there every trip. It seems like it is way out of the way, but it is worth it.

Re: Orange Beach
The Steamer is Gulf Shores is amazing. Get a bucket of Royal Reds and you will love yourself for it. Also, I worked at a place called The Restaurant at the Beach Club headed out towareds Ft. Morgan. It is really really good. Just look for the blue water tower that says Beach Club and it is there. LuLus too me is a big waste. If you want to grill out some on your own then Look for a sign just as you come through Foley, I belive it is CR 10. Can not remember the name of the place but it is Bobs or something like that. He has the best stuffed flounder you will ever eat!!!

Yeah, Louisiana Laniappe's yellow fin tuna seared is the best thing you can possibly eat down there...Outstanding.

Re: Orange Beach
when you going down. - the wife and I will be there on the weekend of the 29 on business. I have always like to just go to Doc's for seafood. You can go to the Warf with the other 50,000 people, but I like the small places like Papa Rocco's
Papa Rocco's ( http://www.paparocco.com/ )
Doc's Seafood Shack & Oyster Bar
Great seafood and gumbo in a laid back atmosphere, right on Wolf Bay.
