I don't agree with all the restrictions either. I dislike having big brother tell me I have to wear a seatbelt, how dark my tint should be, what speed I must travel, etc. I also recognize that driving is a privilege and not a right, so I obey the laws in order to retain that privilege.

I see both side's ,just don't buy officer safty as the main reason or it would be that way in every state.I could be wrong but I think some state's (out west ) mandate darker tint or don't have laws on tint because of the heat factor.

when getting pulled over..........

I haven't been pulled over very oftren(mostly speeding type stuff) but I have a urge to roll my window down and stick BOTH hands out the window..I don't want him to have any doubt where my hands are...drivers license in one hand, and the other just waving in the breeze!

i have 5% all the way around my truck, except on the windshield. ive had it that dark for about 5 years now. they usually wont just stop you for tint, but best of luck if you get stopped for speeding or something.

i have always had dark tint on all of my vehicles and have never had a problem unless i was doing something else wrong and ended up being a smart ass to the officer and then htey would through a meter on my windows and it would cost me a little more money. but i have never been pulled over for just my tint being too dark, and on the officer safety matter, they will ask you over the loud speaker to step out if they cant see in at night because of tint because i have been there and done that and it was pretty damn embarrassing having to be seen on the side of the road with my hands behind my head with all the doors open just because he could not see me. needless to say everybody in town thought i was a drug dealer or something the next day because they rode by and saw me with my hands up and all four doors of my truck open with all my lights on all because i wasnt keeping it between the lines or so he said
A friend will bail you out of jail but a good friend will be sittin next to you saying damn that was fun.
