Drove all the way out to the MDWF to get my "ELETRONIC DUCK STAMP" Walked in got the HIP cert. and Duck Stamp, asked for the real stamp and they gave me one which was the self adhesive kind, They don't carry any but that kind anymore.
I got back to the office and I look at the new and approved "ELETRONIC DUCK STAMP RECEIT" Only to find that it says:

What a crock of crap..

Why in the hell can't they get their act together. Now I have to carry around this letter to show that no stamp is nessasary because I know there will be a local or Fed. that will swear that the stamp is required since it states that on the new and improved "ELETRONIC DUCK STAMP"

I'm with Bogger on this, It has turned out to be a joke.

i'm witcha duckmen, went to the office, paid for everything and waited for my liscense to be sent...bout 2 weeks later, in it comes wiff MB stamped on it for migratory birds but no WF...wanting to play by "their" rules, called em and was assured that a new card would be sent w/ both MB and WF on it...next card, bout a week later says WF but no MB...called up there and asked basically WTF and i quote the reply, "why don't you just carry both and that should cover it"...you believe that? i replied that no, i paid for it, all they have to do it process it correctly and we'd be square...sitting on 2 weeks and no card...but you let me tell some GW that, sir, i tried to play by your rules but ya'll couldn't get it right so i jes thought i could go w/out it, and we'll see how far i get...damn ridiculous...gator

I agree totally, I logged on and tried to purchase mine electronicly to avoid any idiots on the phone, got all the way to the end and was told that because my Hunter Ed is from TN I had to call in or go to a Agent. I just turned the big 4 0 and don't even have to have the Hunter Ed in MS!:x

So I call up the 1-800-gohunt hot line and talk to this sister chick in Tennessee somewhere and get all the way to the end and get put on hold... Next this other sister chick gets on the line and starts the whole process over about half the way through she says that the computers are down and I will have to call back later!


I believe that we are in for a long rough haul if we do not stand up and fight against these ludicrist (sp) ideas, it sucks the way we are being force fed this BS

From what I have read on this forum and the MDWFP waterfowl forum these errors are the rule rather than the exception. I got my licenses and stamps at Walmart. The receipts have accurate info but my Sportsman's License card is missing the "MB." My receipts don't have the "NOT VALID WITHOUT STAMP" printed on them. It appears the receipt they give at the MDWFP Office and the one the stores give out are different. Really strange.

Some good ideas go bad sometimes but that is not the case here, this was ridiculously stupid and idiotic from the get go. Heres another one for you...Telecheck for deer hunting, now there is a colossal waste of money and resources.

What should be done is this......for a minimal fee they can have a duck stamp tatooed on your ass and each year we can go back and get the date changed for ten bucks. Less complicated and confusing than the current process.

Express, I had just cooled off from the last time somebody talked to me about Telchek and now... I won't sleep tonight now! I talked by email to L. Castle about telchek one day. You'll be glad to know that there is no cost to implement that "program". When has there ever been a govt. program that didn't cost taxpayers?

Mine came in the mail, had WF but no MB. I called and talked to somebody, they said another one would be in the mail. Never got it...went down there and the request for duplicate was never put in. I requested another, but I dont want to put my fed stamp on the license if they are sending me another. I'm going to sign my fed stamp and keep it with me along with the license they sent for the Sept goose and teal season if I havent received the dup by then. I aint ruining my fed stamp while i'm waiting on them to get their act straight and send my license.

It's just piss poor planning and follow through. Since it's the first year of this wacky mess it naturally would require three times the organizational effort to have a chance of going smoothly. It can't be treated just like all the previous ho-hum simple simon stamp years.

Simple was just too simple for a state agency, it HAD to be mucked up.

Well, I did mine online with a Tn hunters safety and everything went fine...so I guess this means about 1 out of 10 are good.

Sorry about your plight; but I am confused. I bought mine on Internet
and it shows I paid for duck stamp and my hunting license. Am I missing something? What is MB and WF. Thanks.

MB and WF on the sportsman card stands for migratory bird survey and state waterfowl electronic stamp, respectively.

Met Scott Baker in the Coop today and he assured me that the notice that says NOT VALID WITHOUT STAMP is not an issue. I asked him if the Feds know about all this and he said the Feds can't write you a ticket for not having a state stamp. HMMMM learn something everyday. He said if a warden tries to write me a ticket for not having a STATE stamp and just the receit to have them contact him. I laughed and said you can bet I will.

You need a license, State Stamp Electronic proff of purchase , Hip, and Federal Stamp. Thats all folks. Unless your a young turd then you will need a hunter safety card as well.

my credit card come the other day....... didnt have what MB so i called the state office...... thats was a joke but the lady there told me go back to where I bought my license and they can HIP CERT me free and then carry the reciept with my credit card........as someone said earliery WHY thats one reason I like the credit card you dont have that 4 foot long license that can get wet then GW cant read it to tell if your legal
