Sent it off to Beretta this a.m. Hope they treat me right!

Sent me a pattern they shot with it off a lead sled and it was fine. Guess it was me.

I swear I seem to be having the same problem with a new Beretta 20 ga - did you ever tinker around with adjusting the heel drop and cast on your gun? I will try and pattern my gun as well.

Can't believe nobody else has offered this advice - sell it to the highest bidder and get you a Benelli

I had a problem with my Beretta Pintail not firing on some shots and going full auto with one pull of the trigger on others. I had it supposedly fixed by a local gunsmith - it lasted one season - and decided to post my problem on the Beretta website. Apparently I struck a nerve with them. They deleted my post and sent me an e-mail telling me their guns don't shoot full auto and if I had a problem I need to send the gun to them. They also informed me the gun wasn't under warranty and I'ld pay for all parts and shipping if they couldn't duplicate the problem. I was also informed that it could take anywhere from 2-4 months for a return. I sent it off on a Tuesday, five weeks before season started last year, and recieved it back 10 days later. They replaced everything but the barrel and stock and charged me nothing - they even sent a check covering the shipping it took to send it off.

The best thing that happened was during the 10 days it was gone, I went and got an SBEII. I haven't shot the Beretta since. Not saying Beretta isn't a good gun, the Benelli just fits me so much better.

If I had your money I would just give that old Beretta away and buy a new one!!!!

A bunch of X I's shot left a few years back, but I've heard of very few X II's with that problem.

I would have bought an X II this year, but I'm on a Browning Silver/Win SX3 kick right at the moment.

Did it come with stock and drop shims? Sounds like that's what you need.
