choke tube

Postby johndeere » Wed Oct 08, 2003 12:35 pm

I was wondering what type of aftermarket choke tubes some of ya'll use. I am shooting a xtrema391 with remington hevi-shot. I also think you would need two tubes one for working decoys and the other for passing shots out to about 40 yards.

Over decoys I would look at a Briley Skeet, or True Cylinder. For out to 40 yards, a Light Mod. That HS patterns tight as a tick in all my guns. Or it did back when I had 2 arms and could shoot!

ANGLE PORTING!!! Take a look at their website. The company is out of Arkansas and sells prefab choke tubes of all varieties and/or will make custom chokes to fit your gun among a handful of other modifications. The tubes are the best I have ever used and priced about the same as Patternamster and other aftermarket tubes. Their constrictions and craftsmanship is unparalleled. They will also lengthen and polish your forcing cone for about $65 and a two week turn around. Search for angle porting on the web. Their specialty is competition shotgun modification. I do not work for this company! I have sent two guns to them for "makeovers" and they came back with a highly improved patterns. For the money, I think they are the best in the business.

Thanks for the info. I believe that the angle port is the way to go. I checked with them and they seem to know their stuff or they are some real good B.S'ers.
