I was out there Sunday afternoon with my little boy and a friend of mine. I hate I didn't meet any of you guys. I was at the pond pictured above for a little while. :D

Nice pictures of a bunch of short legged curly haired evil eyed little brown dawgs! Just kidding, but there were a bunch of boykins, a few poodles, a couple chessies, and one big French Mastiff? Oh, and Ellis' watchdawg Jimbo. Don't get to close to the white van!

Damn Driveby, I didn't know you were there. I was mainly at started, and watched a little finished and upland. Completely missed seasoned again. Congrats to all that came over and supported this new club. Bear Branch is a nice place! Oh yeah, and congrats to all that got passes, titles, and buckets o ice water!

Waterbug........Congradulations on that Season Pass.........Sounds like Max did a good job at the Test.......I know he was pumped up with the weather and the grounds.........Madison got her Started Title @ Bear Branch.......Great Grounds............I think we need to book us a Duck Hunt up there..................Pro Trainer Masley should be able to fund the trip on the extra funds he's making as a Pro Trainer..........You can supply the Dog.

Yep! Funny thing me with a black dog. I am so proud of them. You have no idea how much time I spend researching stud dogs. It is such a good feeling to see how nice those pups are turning out! Hevi's mama (they live in OK) emailed me in tears the day Hevi left for Steve's....so I know he is gonna be going home as soon as possible.
Belli was very slow to mature. Thank goodness Steve saw something enough to make him stick with her.
She sure is a really nice dog now and has taken a very minimal amount of pressure to get there.

I say we get pro-trainer to take us on a Pheasant/chukar hunt over there. Maybe we can pick up enough tips from him to run upland next year. Give me a shout when you train later this week.

I had a dam good time with all who were there this weekend, Bear Branch is truly a special place to hold a test no doubt about it. I'd like to thank everyone who attended on behalf of my father, he was the hunt test chairman and I couldn't be more pleased with how things turned out. The highlight of the weekend for me was giving the finished judge, Kim Smith almighty hell saturday night, cause he is diehard TN fan  . He did not like my version of Rocky Top lol.

Good times folks

Lived in Mississippi all my life, but I am new here to the forum. Got an invite from one of the guys at the MSBSRC HT in Townley, AL this weekend and decided to get on and check it out.
First off, I would like to thank all of you that came and participated in our inaugural HT this past weekend. As a former officer and BOD with the Midsouth Boykin Spaniel Retriever Club, I too was very pleased with how well organized the entire event was. I was really proud of everyone that came with all their little brown dogs. But what I was most proud of was my petite lil 12 year old daughter participated in her first ever Hunt Test and came away with a started pass. I was never more proud of her in all my life.
Veteran, I like those pictures you posted, that is one fine looking Boykin there. I will get her out in a minute and let her see her photo on the internet. Yep, that is me and one of my Boykins. That seasoned test was on saturday and of 20 something dogs, I think only 7 came away with passes, and I was not one of them. The blind, while it looked straight forward on the surface, took out most of the dogs.
If anyone is interested, here are a few more pictures that my wife and I took during the test. Too many to post on here but wanted to share them with all you. http://www.yoconariverboykins.com/webgallery/MSBSRC_HT/
Again, thanks to all of you that joined us, and here is to hoping the rest of you join us on our next HT.
