I bought my brother a 7mm Rem SA UM for christmas last year and that's a real sweet gun. I haven't seen the regular 7mm UMag.

I HAVE A 300 ULTRA WITH 4.5-14-56 WTIH 30MM TUBE VXL AND IT IS A HELL OF A GUN. I HAVE A 270 WSM WITH 4.5 -14-50. THEY ARE SOME REAL SHOOTERS. I ONLY SHOOT LEUPOLD SCOPES AND HAVE HAD GREAT LUCK . I HAVE BROBALY GOT 10 OF THESE SCOPES . THESE 2 GUNS ARE THE HOTTEST 2 CALIBERS OUT. 1-2 IN HIGH AT 100 AND ONLY 8-10IN AT 400. NO OBAMA VOTERS BETTER COME WITHIN 1/4 MILE OF MY HOUSE. I HAVE KILLED ALOT OF $#!+ WAY OUT THERE WITH THESE GUNS AND IT IS UNREAL OF THE 180 GR 300 ULTRA BULLET POWER.

1. Go to Van's around 3:30 pm, look at all the scopes select your three personal choices as seen in the store by 4:30.
2. 5-5:30 look through them in the lot and determine which picks up the best light at dark.

Remember high power is great when light is not an issue, but most of the deer I kill are at the last moments of hunting trip. If a scope adds 15 minutes to your hunt at the optimal time, it will be worth the additional money, you spend.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
