Truck stolen
Truck stolen
One of my clients had his 2008 Ford F-150 stolen Monday night from the Bulldog in Jackson. It is a red crew cab with black & chrome rims and Mickey Thompson tires. If you see a brotha rollin' in it, call the police.

Re: Truck stolen
Mine was stolen in August in Jackson too. They found it in a South Jackson apartment complex. Take that back, they didn't find it, the apartment manager finally called after it sat there for 4 weeks and had it towed.
Jackson police don't care, they are to busy handing out speeding tickets on I55. The crack head that stole it also used my credit cards, Target has them on camera charging $1000's of dollars and even called the police to let them know they knew who it was. They also offered to give them a copy of the security tape. To this day NOTHING has been done, and they don't care to do anything.
Jackson Police Dept is a JOKE !

Re: Truck stolen
A friend of mine's mother-in-law had her '07 Yukon stolen from in front of a restaurant on County Line Rd. about a month and a half ago. The Highway Patrol investigator told them they would never see the vehicle again. He also told them that theives in Jackson were targeting loaded out Yukons and F-Series Ford trucks, specifically 150's and 250's because they are easy to steal, even with factory alarms. The Yukons are stolen by punching a 1/4" hole below the the door handle and jimmying the lock which by-passes the alarm (it thinks a key was used to open the lock). The Ford's are stolen by jimmying the lock by holding the door handle out and using a dowel rod. And you are right about the JPD, the occifer that arrived to take their statement couldn't even spell YUKON, that's when my friend's wife called a co-worker who's husband is a Highway Patolman, who called the investigator. Oh, by the way, they were eating lunch when this all took place!

Re: Truck stolen
Curious as I have had a few clients Fords broken into over the last year, are the ones that get stolen have the keys in them or hot wire?
I know I am guilty of leaving the keys in it and using the key pad. Figure if your going to trash it just take the truck.
I have also noticed that the ratings the underwriter uses go up on these vehicles.

Re: Truck stolen
Heck, had somebody try to break into my house a couple of weeks ago, in Oak Grove in Rankin Co. 3:20 on a Thursday afternoon. Thank goodness We have an alarm, that we use, and 2 labs that stay inside, they aren't mean, but they are big, and sound mean when they get woke up from their nap on the couches. Alarm company called me and said the police had been dispatched, they showed up 30 minutes later, they called my wife and apologized for being late cause they had had 4 other calls in our neighborhood. You can't escape it I guess.
It took 'em 6 years to find us, never locked our car doors until recently, also had 2 pairs of sunglasses stolen out of my truck.

Re: Truck stolen
Msdeltadog I also live in Oak grove. About a month ago there were two guys walking around hte neighborhood askin about peoples alarms on there houses. They said they were from Honeywell alarms. I saw the car they were in it was a black four door volvo with utah tags. After talking with one of my neighbors I called the sheriffs department and gave them the tag. If you see a that car around here again call it in. Those guys were full of s**t.

Unfortunately that doesn't work every time. I parked in the deck at Children's Hospital one day to visit a friends son. My old '87 4Runner was the oldest, nastiest vehicle sitting there. When I came back, I found the driver's side sliding glass busted out. All they got was my radio that was worth all of $20.00 and my skinning knife. The dang window cost more to replace than what they got was worth.

Re: Truck stolen
Back in 05, my wrangler was stolen on a Tuesday night in front of my house. They hit gold because I had just filled it up.
It was found in Marian Arkansas. The guys rented a hotel, put a tarp over my jeep and attempted to steal another truck. The guy was caught breaking into the truck. He happened to have a set of jeep wrangler keys in his pocket and the cops out 2 and 2 together. I was lucky. I got it back. Without a radio of course.
