We have WAY to many deer for a tagging system to be needed or enforced. Our long season and way to short supply of wardens = no enforcement so it is pointless. If we had a 5 day gun season it would be different but our officers are stretched way to thin to worry about numbers. Telecheck was a joke. Like 2000 deer reported.

11. If you had to change one thing about Mississippi deer laws what would you change?
Change rifle season to where it opens on the regular opening weeked and then closes 14 days later, give about a week during Christmas with a muzzleloader or shotgun and the rest archery (Oct 1-Jan 31) . Change buck harvest numbers from 3 to 2 and kill more does. May diff antler criteria for diff counties, diff opening dates for diff counties, etc.
