draw hunt info

I'm a new member to the forum and Vicksburg. I got drwan to hunt Howard Miller the opening weekend and wanted to know if there is any word on bird numbers or locations to possibly draw for. I have my two sons going with me and was looking for a little help.

I also got drawn for Muscadine 22 JAN unit 3...................any thoughts?

Sorry Man. Good Luck getting much info out of anyone on here in relation to numbers and locations. Your best bet is to scout it out yourself.

You'll need a wheeler at HM for sure...Muscadine is walk in only. Y'all need to go check out your areas BEFORE your hunts. Them places can be confusing if youve never been. MDWFP will start posting man hours hunted to dux killed when season gets started...Y'all have fun out there

Welcome to Vicksburg and DuckSouth. There are several people on here from Vicksburg (probably 10-15)and the surrounding area.

The folks here are a good resource for much info about hunting and dogs and equipment and food and booze and some other stuff not suitable for work or chldren - but I've meet about 25 of them and they seem like an alright bunch.

The folks here are NOT A GOOD SOURCE of duck numbers, blind locations, "honey holes", roost shoots, GPS coordinates, etc.... They( me included ) ain't gonna share that stuff.

That said -
folks will help you out with the basics ( wet/dry areas, general info on WMA areas, boat vs. ATV , etc...)- once you been online and posted a while. Lots of folks have been "burnt" by helping out friends and friendly strangers that ruin good spots by overuse or abuse.

Again - Welcome to town and the messageboard. If your not thin-skinned and you tolerate a healthy dose of smartass on occasion this is a fun place to visist.

Muscadines (Vitis rotundifolia) are a grapevine species native to the present-day southeastern United States that has been extensively cultivated since the 16th Century. Its recognized range in the United States extends from New York south to Florida, and west to Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. They are well adapted to their native warm and humid climate; they need fewer chilling hours than better known varieties and they thrive on summer heat.

The muscadine berries range from bronze to dark purple to black in color when ripe. They have skin sufficiently tough that eating the raw fruit often involves biting a small hole in the skin to suck out the pulp inside. Muscadines are not only eaten fresh, but also are used in making wine, juice, and jelly.

Muscadine grapes are rich sources of polyphenols and other nutrients studied for their potential health benefits.[1] Reports have indicated that muscadine grapes may contain high concentrations of resveratrol — a polyphenol with reported beneficial health effects — and that wines produced from these grapes, both red and white, may contain more than 40 mg/L of resveratrol.[2][3] However, subsequent studies have found no or little resveratrol in different varieties of muscadine grapes

Seriously though you will need a fourwheeler and a layout blind or dove bucket with some type of make shift blind at HM the above is all the info i can give on muscadine
