You see why they wont come near one here. They see about 12 in each decoy spread...

rbh, they have a butt load of decoys out for sure. the blind that i hunted had somewhere around 1100 dekes and a bunch of "filler killers" too boot. it was effective for sure. we killed our birds that day and that blind used to kill tons of ducks every season.

I would have to join the guys that water ski through all the duck blinds and decoy spreads on Reelfoot. I don't think I coudl handle that many gadgets. I guess they get there at 3:30 to start setting up the Vortex's and Mallard machines.

1100 dekes!! Wow
heck that would make me want to go look at it just to see what was going on...we don't have a chance with our 3 or 4 spinners out then...
If you have to be crazy to hunt ducks, I do not want to be sane!

They are always welcome to come hunt with me. That first group of ducks will come in low and to the left and BAM, the first shot rings out and one greenhead and two spinners hit the water!! 3 birds with one shot!! A limit in two shots.

If I had to put out 1100 decoys to kill ducks I would consider myself an idiot. It would take 4 hours to pick up 1100 decoys and 32 spinners.

use dove mojos. at least the ducks come in a little closer, since they think they are further from the water and they think they are seeing a greenwing land.

i know it sounds pretty ridiculous to be putting out that many spinners, vortex', etc... but at reelfoot most everybody has spreads like that (at least the guys that have blinds there). i hunted there 2 seasons ago with a friend who knows one of the main guides at reelfoot. he had 2 vortex' out and probably and least 4 spinners, plus 2 swimming systems. we were also hunting out of a blind that could hunt 18 people (yes, i said 18). it was an old tanker truck on massive stilts with the front 1/4 cut off. we actually killed about 50 birds that day (with 13 shooters). It sounds ridiculous to most of us who are used to small spreads but it works for them. If any of you have ever hunted reelfoot you know what im talking about. They also call up there like a bunch a mad men. When we hunted 2 years ago the guide we were with had most everybody calling and probably more than i did the whole rest of the season. it is a different experience but definitely one everybody should try at least once.
