Which rnt call?

Postby Double Kill » Mon Dec 01, 2008 6:34 pm

Hey guys i'm new here and have never posted but here goes. I'm 20 yrs old and have always used regular duck calls for ducks (haydel, duck commander etc.) but for christmas i want a good one. I really like the rnt's but i'm not sure which one to get so that's why i'm asking yall. It would also have to be wood cuz i can't afford the acrylic right now. I'm trying to decide between the short barrel or the original but any other suggestions will be appreciated. We mainly hunt flooded fields but do hunt sloughs sometimes. Any help will be appreciated!

Shortbarrel
Surely the longer a man duck hunts the wealthier he becomes in experience,in reminiscence,in love of nature,if he goes out with the harvest of a quiet eye, free from the plague of himself

I have a SB right now, but I really prefer the Original. Anybody got an acrylic Original that they would trade for a green/ clear SB?

I just got the old style, I liked it and the short barrel, the orig is a louder call in my opinion, bt I WOULD GET THE WOOD IF i WERE YOU, THE ACRILIC JUST RINGS TOO much for me. sorry about the caps

I got a brand new Burnt Bois D' Arc Short Barrel That I am willing to let go if interested. Nothing at all wrong with it just doesn't compare to my Daisy Cutter.

The original is the most versitile, and to me the best sounding, one of the bunch.

I have a DC on my lanyard, but I wouldn't say it is an easy call to operate.... the original is probably the most versatile, never owned a SB though (had all the others).....

That what you call in all those wood ducks with :?:  just messing with ya

I have a DC, SB and original on the lanyard and the DC is by far the baddest thing out there IF you can blow it followed by SB then Original... Original good starter and hell of a duck killer and easier to blow out of the 3
