Our neighbors son recently found out that his son has Retinoblastoma. This is a rare type of eye cancer that develops in the retina, the part of the eye that detects light and color. Although this disorder can occur at any age, it usually develops in young children. Jacob is 1 week shy of being 6 months old. After his birth in June he started having trouble breathing and coughing up blood and they found out that he had Infant Pulmonary Hypertension and ended up spending weeks at LeBonheur in NICU on a ventilator. He came home and they just found this out on Nov. 25th. His mother took some pictures and he had a white spot in his eye in every picture.
Anyway, please keep this little man and his family in your prayers.
His name is Jacob Hartley Carver and his parents are Hartley and Rachel.
