Postby SFDdelta1 » Thu Dec 04, 2008 8:23 pm

People dont speak of the "good ole days" because things stay the same. one of the best quotes in any country song, "the only thing that stays the same is that everything's changing"

music is the same way..

I hear ya SFD its sucks big time these days.

Most these days that sound like actual country play in local bars in Nashville and the big shots tell em their music is TOO country to play on radio.

Too country? I've yet to hear that.

BTW the Possum will be in Tunica around Feb I've got to see him live before he croaks.

More like pop/hip hop than rock. Please don't insult rock music like that.

This sounds vaguely like something my parents would have said in 1964! :P

There are far more "cross-over" artists these days for sure.

I like the old stuff too.. But it is still around, just doesn't get played. You have to go out and dig for it..

I still will buy from certain artist. George Strait, Tracy Byrd, Mark Chestnutt. There are a few new artist I like also, but the majority of stuff on my iPod is from at least 10 years back
