If you are too damn cheap to buy a $30 tag, then you should not have a trailer.
Buy a tag for each trailer and obey the law. Whats different that switching tags or shooting over the limit.
Obey the law.

Point taken...but I sometimes borrow a trailer from a friend who refuses to buy a tag. I use his most of the time and that's why I got the homemade tag. Only option I had because it does not belong to me, just trying to stay in line with the law, even though its stretching it a bit.

Funny this was brought up, I went thru a road block and the MHP attempted to give me a ticket for not having a tag on a trailer, he asked me for some information on the trailer which I did not have because it belonged to a buddy of mine who loves in TN. TN does not require utility trailers to be tagged and the MHP officer did not write me a ticket for it. Long story short. If you get stopped pulling a trailer that does not have a tag, it is OK as long as it belongs to a buddy from TN. Of course your buddy does not have to knwo that you just gave him the trailer.
