Chritmas gift from Chrysler ?

Postby blindbuilder » Mon Jan 05, 2009 10:24 pm

Last week (friday) I had a package at my door addressed to myself. Opened the box and find a Garmin GPS with no letter in the box. I was expecting a gift from my folks in Seaside, Or, so I called to thank them for the gift, but they had not sent a gift due to harsh weather. So I was puzzled. The box was shipped from Garmin International. Today I called the phone number that was with the address. The woman that I spoke with asked if I had recently done buisness with Chrysler. I responded with yes, bought a car. She said ok Chrysler has sent the products as a gift for doing buisness with them, with no cost to you. SCORE!!!!! Did anyone elese get one of these out of the blue??

gotcha, so you already paid for it, just didn't know it. Now your literally laying for it over the life of the car loan. Thus the finance company is getting interest on the "gift". Sounds like a bailout plan in itself.

I bought a GMC truck and a month or so later got a $500 Lowes Gift Card out of the blue in the mail. I guess some famous consultant or something told the car companies to show appreciation after the purchase and it would "bring em back".

I bought my wife a 2007 Nissan Xterra for her birthday and they gave us free oil changes every 3000 miles for 3 years and also gave us and installed a new tv in the roof of the car because i raised so much hell with the sales rep. They had the truck marked at 19000 and I got it for 14,379 tax and all.
